Eligibility – कौन apply कर सकता है?
- Candidate का 12th pass होना जरूरी है (any stream)

Vacancy Details – कितने पद हैं?
SSC Stenographer 2026 के लिए शुरुआती तौर पर करीब 731 vacancies (tentative) बताई गई हैं, जिनमें Grade C और Grade D दोनों शामिल हैं। हालांकि SSC अभी category-wise या post-wise detailed breakup जारी नहीं करता और state/zone-wise vacancies भी पहले से collect नहीं की जातीं। कुछ sources में final vacancies ज्यादा बताई जा रही हैं—जैसे लगभग 232 Grade C और 1483 Grade D (total 1715)—लेकिन इसे official confirmation मिलने तक final नहीं माना जाना चाहिए। साथ ही, ESM reservation केवल Group C (Grade D) posts पर लागू होता है। Candidates को सलाह दी जाती है कि latest और confirmed vacancy details के लिए SSC की official website पर नियमित रूप से check करते रहें।
Nationality / Citizenship – SSC Stenographer 2026
Candidates को भारत का नागरिक होना चाहिए, या नेपाल/भूटान के subject, या ऐसे Indian origin व्यक्ति जो कुछ specified देशों से India में permanently settle होने आए हों।
- इन categories (Nepal, Bhutan, PIO) के candidates के लिए Government of India द्वारा issued eligibility certificate जरूरी होता है।
- बिना certificate के exam दे सकते हैं, लेकिन final appointment certificate मिलने के बाद ही होगा।
